Kelly Services is hiring for an experienced Maintenance Associate to join an amazing team in Grand Forks, ND. This is a direct hire position, so you'll be permanent on the first day! 

Job Description: 

This position is to maintain and operate equipment including air compressors systems, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, low oxygen systems and the ammonia refrigeration system.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Fully understand the operation of the refrigeration systems
  • You will work inside the facility and outside, depending on work requirements
  • Perform refrigeration operational and maintenance duties
  • Ensures the accuracy of data reporting systems
  • Ensures that work orders are completed as assigned 
  • Work on trouble-shooting a large ammonia facility, work on related preventative maintenance work orders and duties
  • Performs basic duties using ammonia full face gas mask. Certification is required. 


  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of a refrigeration cycle
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (heavy valves, motors, etc.)
  • Practical mechanical background 
  • Must be able to work in moderate to high noise level
  • Must be able to work under extreme conditions, such as hot, wet and cold environments, inside and outside the plant 
  • Must possess or obtain in first week of job company forklift license
  • Must become certified in the use of an ammonia gas mask


Night shift (C/D): 7pm-7am       
Note: OT required, including weekends
