Primary Function:

Seeking a SQL BI analyst who can work/maintain/oversees the team’s SQL server/SQL databases, exchange of data among multiple systems, data integration, reporting, and data analytics. The Junior SQL BI Developer is also responsible for performing Extract, transform and load (ETL) data operations from different data sources by using ETL Tool. Routine maintenance of databases, as well as develop/maintain/support new and existing data flows from multiple source systems. Other job responsibilities include development of Tableau Reports and Visualizations, the Operational Maintenance of the BI Platform, and response to ad-hoc requests for data from internal and external partners.


Typical Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Write T-SQL scripts, dynamic SQL, complex stored procedures, functions and triggers. Maintain all team-related SQL Server databases.
  • Extract data from enterprise relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) as well as other data sources (e.g., XML files, flat files) using efficient and well-formed SQL queries.
  • Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data from Excel, Flat file, XML to MS SQL Server using SSIS tool.
  • Leverage data mining, analytics, and business intelligence to provide actionable recommendations and solve business/operational problems.
  • Work closely with the internal team to interpret the data needs of the business and translate those to logical and physical data models and reports.
  • Oversees/maintain and ensures data jobs refresh processes are executed on schedule and successfully. Proactively monitors batch processes to prevent unexpected downtimes, addresses batch issues as they arise, collaborates with internal and external team to troubleshoot system errors as needed.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards visualizations using BI application (Tableau) and ensure dashboards are creatively designed.


Qualification, Experience, Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of strong hands-on experience working with T-SQL programming/SQL queries, subject matter expert for MS SQL Server and MS SQL databases.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with data including data sourcing, data analysis, data integration and data reporting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using an ETL tool (Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services) with multiple data sources and transport methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 3 years experiences with Tableau (Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Database development by using appropriate tools.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft office, most notably excel and Visio.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills are required.
  • Possess the ability and desire to learn and implement new technologies/methodologies.
  • Ability to work under the pressures of deadlines and to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).


Behavior Characteristics:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required. Critical thinker with ability to multi-task and ability to work with minimal supervision.
