Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the Engines and Power Systems business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of prime propulsion turbine engine control requirements and software design elements.  You will serve as a technical focal point and a mentor to less experienced engineers related to the control system features. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Disciplined requirements-based engineering of the control system requirements, including:
    • Requirements analysis
    • Requirements decomposition
  • Control system software design and validation, including
    • Matlab and Simulink modeling
    • Design simulation
  • Effective coordination and communication with:
    • Multi-disciplinary requirements and design teams
    • Systems engineering teams
    • Project management organizations
    • Internal customers
  • Continuous improvement in development cost and time efficiency


  • Bachelors degree in one of the following: Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 3+ years engineering experience


  • Background in systems engineering and requirements development
  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and RPE
  • Experience with control system modeling using Simulink
  • Knowledge of the product development lifecycle
  • Individuals that quickly analyze and apply new information and concepts
  • Leading diverse and global team
  • Individuals who are self-motivated, able to work with little supervision, and who consistently take the initiative to get things done
  • Ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks, situations, and people
  • Making autonomous decisions
