About the job
Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced analog integrated circuit layout designer. This position will require the creation and management of integrated circuit layouts from start to finish. Including floorplanning, supporting design engineer to reach precision, speed, area, reliability, power and esd requirements. Also working with PE/packaging engineer to assure reliable production capability and preparation of tape-out data, documentation and archive. Working well in a team environment and collaborating effectively with others is critical. Experience with Cadence tools, precision analog layout techniques, layout verification and packaging are required. Layout designer is to be located in or willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ site.


Minimum requirements:

 • Minimum education:  bachelor’s degree in related discipline
 • Minimum of 5 years of experience in analog layout
 • Working experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Assura LVS, DRC 
 • Familiarity with device physics, semiconductor components, analog circuits and their layout sensitivities
 • Knowledge of semiconductor processes and IC production flow 
 • Working knowledge of layout related matching techniques, parasitics, routing impedances
 • Independent, structured and solution oriented working method
 • Unix data management skills

Preferred qualifications:

 • Working well in a team and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
 • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
 • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
 • Good listener and good verbal and written communication skills
