Title: Engineer III

Location: Atlanta, GA

                 Richmond, VA

Essential duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement Large Data Warehouse solutions for various initiatives utilizing Teradata or other major relational databases like Oracle & Snowflake,  Etl Tools like Informatica, BTEQ & Shell scripts, SQL queries and by leveraging standard Atlassian Tools Bamboo, Jira & Confluence
  • Create technical design documents; perform code reviews and design walk through.
  •  Conceptualize design patterns and build frameworks and reusable code assets using programming languages like Python and others.
  • Provide support to Data Quality Governance processes; perform data analysis, data profiling, and propose and implement solutions to address Data Quality issues; implementaudit, balance and control routines to ensure data quality.
  • Conduct performance tuning for large scale data retrieval applications/batch jobs.
  • Work with IT & Business partners throughout the full software development life cycle to understand the business and technical requirements to be converted into technical design documents.
  • Review Vendor LOE/Assessments and perform timely escalation of Issues.
  • Work with data architects to support database design.
  • Work with Project management teams to support planning and execution aspect of the deliverables and also do a timely escalation of issues to the leadership.
  • Provide frequent and timely updates of project status to project management.
  • Work with project manager to define detailed tasks and estimates for ETL related work on the projects assigned.
  • Work with systems analysts to review requirements and provide technical responses.
  • Support on Performance Tuning and Root cause analysis of any production incident.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities for the team and bring delivery efficiencies.
  • Initiate defects prevention initiatives with commitment to quality from requirements through design, construction and testing.
  • Provide technical support during testing - both SIT and UAT.
  • Good Knowledge on Agile Methodologies using SAFe preferred
  • Participate/Build processes that will Modernize Data foundation Environment in AWS Cloud using Athena, Glue, S3, Snowflake etc
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities for the team and bring delivery efficiencies.



  • Requires BA/BS degree or technical institute training and 3+ years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead small projects and provide troubleshooting support.
  • Must be proficient with teradata or other major relational databases like Oracle & Snowflake, 
  • Must be proficient with Etl Tools like Informatica
