Job Summary:
As a Signal Processing Engineer II, you will participate in challenging multi-disciplinary research across integrated product teams consisting of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), Signal Processing and missile-and-sensor-level Performance Simulations. You will participate in the design, development, and integration of Radar and Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) algorithms, conducting system trades/sensitivity analyses, and performance assessments to support our products and new business initiatives.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • You will work with detailed high fidelity simulations written in C/C++ and MATLAB to develop, prototype, and test radar and/or EO/IR signal processing algorithms and models.
  • You will conduct performance trade-off and sensitivity analysis for missile radar and/or EO/IR applications.
  • You will participate in production and engineering lab test environments and field test environments to test, verify, and validate radar models and signal processing algorithm requirements and performance.
  • You will collaborate as a team member in all phases of missile development from program start up to live fire test, to provide engineering expertise by participating in project design reviews and peer reviews, including technical briefings to internal leaders and external customers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Master___s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). For example, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math or related.
  • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.
  • In undergraduate and graduate coursework, must have completed or be currently registered for at least two of the classes appearing below in italics. At least one class must fall into the Signal Processing / Image Processing category and at least one class must fall into the Probability & Statistics / Linear Algebra category.
    • 1) Signal Processing / Image Processing: Signals & Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Signal Processing, Signal Analysis, Image Processing, Digital Image Processing, Image Analysis, or equivalent.
    • 2) Probability & Statistics / Linear Algebra: Probability, Statistics, Stochastic Processes, Random Processes, Linear Algebra, Matrix Theory, Matrix Analysis, or equivalent.
  • Experience with C++ or C.
  • Experience with MATLAB or Python.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
  • It is desired that the selected candidate have completed, or currently be performing, a capstone, professional internship, or undergraduate research opportunity that provides experience applying signal processing techniques to radar and/or EO/IR data, and working with radar and/or EO/IR environment models.
  • Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration.
  • Ability to develop and present technical briefings.
  • Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI.
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
