Job Description
As a Medical Economics Consultant on the provider enablement team you will support the development of a corporate strategy to support full risk Medicare Value Based Contracting (VBC) agreements. The Medical Economics Consultant is essential for ensuring our VBC partners are supported wholistically throughout the contract life cycle and identifying and supporting solutions to drive provider performance. The Medical Economics Consultant position is responsible for working with data manipulation and reporting to support increasingly complex full risk Medicare contracts.

As part of the Medical Economics Provider Enablement Team, you will take ownership of your portfolio of full risk VBC working collaboratively with provider partners, market aligned MEU resources, and internal partners to drive provider performance across the enterprise. You will lead enhancements projects and project manage process improvements across multiple internal partners. You will serve as a SME on complex Medicare support questions and guide and train other team members .

The larger Medical Economics Team is accountable for analysis of medical costs across lines of business, supporting data for the right pricing and to develop Medical cost savings initiatives. We partner with a wide range of business units across the enterprise including other Medical Economics areas and Contract Negotiators.

Required Qualifications
3 or more years in the managed care industry with exposure to value-based contracting
3 or more years of experience with financial analysis and/or administrative claims data
3 or more years of experience in Medicare Advantage

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in value-based care preferably in the Medicare Advantage space
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
Possess strong analytical and problem resolution skills
Be able to communicate effectively with a diverse audience
Be resourceful and can quickly and successfully adapt to change
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Exposure to SAS or other web-query based programs
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Powerpoint, Access)

Education
Bachelor degree required.
