Drake University is seeking an Assistant Director of Compliance to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Compliance Office. Responsibilities include oversight of the prospective student-athlete pre-approval process; monitoring and organizing recruitment documentation involving telephone calls, contacts, evaluations, unofficial visits, and official visits; monitoring play and practice season information related to countable athletically related activities (CARA) logs, playing season declaration, dates of competition, entering, updating, and maintaining student-athlete information in various databases; managing textbook distribution and retrieval for book scholarship student-athletes; assisting with legislative interpretations; assisting with processing secondary violations; and performing other duties as assigned. All of these duties described above require an understanding of and compliance with the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, the Pioneer Football League, and/or the Summit League, and Drake University. Bachelor's degree required; Previous work in NCAA D1 compliance preferred. Function Percent Description 01 40% Assist with the recruiting process, including but not limited to official and unofficial visits, pre-approvals, and contacts & evaluations. 02 30% Assist in compliance monitoring of academic eligibility, financial aid, and playing & practice sessions. 03 10% Coordinate the text book distribution process. 04 10% Maintain roster management in JumpForward database. 05 5% Assist in upkeep of compliance office records and student athlete files. 06 5% Provides other duties as assigned 07 0% All of the duties described above require an understanding of and compliance with the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, Pioneer Football League, the Summit League and Drake University.
