The responsibility of this role will be to formulate and validate all technical architecture aspects of the Tax Technology landscape. This will include producing technical architectures for all Tax applications and project implementations. Implementations are expected to be a combination of Cloud, SaaS and on-prem. The candidate will collaborate closely with central architecture on the implementation of architecture standards and principles, and will represent Tax Technology in the various FSG Architecture Forums and Governance bodies. *Your future colleagues* Tax Technology is the part of the wider PC, GC, Tax and Reg group within FSG. It is a global group with around 400 FTEs. We need someone who is close to the detail, and can “do” as well as design. * Proven experience of at least 10 years with architecture, development and innovation * Background can be from any industry, but should be on the cutting edge of technology – Big Data, Cloud etc. * We are looking for the type of person who can evidence a track record of thinking outside of the box * We are looking for a person who can demonstrate that they have continually kept up with the constantly evolving technology landscape and can show that they have proposed innovative solutions which utilize these new technologies * The ability to “listen to the customer” is key. Really understand what the customer wants – rather than cookie-cutter architecture templates. * Proven knowledgeable on the “full stack” of technology tools - including databases, calculation engines, reporting and analysis tools, data wrangling, data transmission etc..
