Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 631- bed Health Care System including Bay Area, Doctors Regional, The Heart Hospital, Northwest Regional, Bayview Behavioral Hospital, Northshore Emergency Center, Northwest Behavioral Health Center and Radiation Oncology at Corpus Christi Cancer Center.

What you will do in this role:
  • Responsible for all functions of the clinical laboratory and pathology
  • Ensure compliance with all accrediting agencies, hospital infection control, safety, and education policies
  • Responsible for personnel management, purchasing of supplies and equipment, preparation of financial and budget reports
  • Sets an example for all laboratory employees as it pertains to customer satisfaction, leadership, and cooperation with other departments in the hospital
  • Performs laboratory testing as necessary and is clinically sound in analyzing general laboratory concerns
  • Responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the neonate, infant child, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

Qualifications

What qualification you will need:
  • Bachelors degree in Medical Technology
  • Masters degree in Health Sciences required or within 24 months of hire
  • Seven years experience in a clinical laboratory
  • Three years management experience
  • Current certification as MT (ASCP) or equivalent
