Northrop Grumman is in need of an Electronic Technician to work at its Allegheny Ballistics Laboratory facility located in Rocket Center, WV.
Role description
  • Successful candidate will work independently to perform a wide range of calibrations and repairs of electronic devices
  • Install, set-up and maintain electronic and mechanical equipment used in verification of precision manufactured products
  • Maintain calibration cycles in support of production schedules
  • Communicates solutions to routine technical problems
  • Take a proactive role in supporting the Maintenance Department and providing customer support building a high level of trust with the internal and external customers
  • Performs preventative maintenance
  • Understands how to navigate the Computerized Maintenance Management System (DISPATCH)
The position will be filled at the level depending upon the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Qualifications:

Qualifications for level 3
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite.
  • The candidate must possess the ability to interact with Engineering and Supervision at the various factories that services are required.
  • Experience is required using various Testing and Measuring Equipment and with being proficient with using various hand tools such as DMM, oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal Supervision
  • Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager
  • Detail oriented
  • Technical writing and calibration reports
  • Basic pneumatic and hydraulics uderstanding
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or other related technical field, or equivalent military training.
  • Two plus years of experience working in a manufacturing industry is preferred.

  • At least 6 years of experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
