Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive structure-function understanding of novel proteins 
  • Establish methods to purify proteins and use analytical methods to characterize proteins using biochemical and biophysical assays
  • Become an expert on biophysical properties of novel proteins and share knowledge with other teams through presentation of designs and results
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams using your strong communication skills and creative problem solving to help develop next generation protein products
  • Keep abreast of latest technologies and drive innovation to streamline methods
  • Spearhead the design of experiments, analysis of data and troubleshooting of methods

Requirements:

  • MS (+5-7 years industry experience) or PhD (+3 to 5 years industry experience) in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Bioanalytical Chemistry, Protein Engineering or related.
  • Experience with protein purification and characterization, including LC-MS, HPLC, FPLC, SDS-PAGE, CD spectroscopy, TSA.
  • A demonstrated record of scientific accomplishment in the form of publications, patents, and/or presentations in your scientific discipline.
  • Experience applying knowledge of scientific principles and concepts to analytical method development
  • Design, implement, conduct, and interpret experiments with minimal guidance
  • Foster excellence in the lab through example of hard work ethic and work output quality.
  • Experience supervising laboratory personnel preferred a plus
