As a Field Service Engineer you will be focused on employing our Connected Services technologies and offerings on Customer sites to optimise the performance of their facilities and deliver a step-change in service outcomes. You will undertake a contemporary approach to service, employing new tools, new technologies to better service building management and security systems and provide Honeywell Customers with transparency of action and outcome underscoring the value you add to their facility and business. On a daily basis you will be driving forward actions, providing recommendations on how to enhance building performance, comfort improvements, occupant experience and providing Customers with the transparency to make more informed CAPEX and OPEX decisions. You will also be part of a team focused on driving new business expansion, particularly 3rd party service, creating new growth opportunities for our business.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Deliver proactive and measurable outcomes for our Customers with a focus on occupant comfort, energy consumption and building-asset performance utilising Connected Service technologies and EBI too 

  • Work to dynamically respond to the requirements of Customer buildings, as identified via data & analytics 

  • Using data & analytics compare the performance of the system against the intended functionality 

  • Prepare engineering drawings and application projects specifically for Service Jobs (i.e. SLJ’s) 

  • Determine equipment and accessory needs for implementation and inform FSL or FSS in time 

  • Install EBI, prepare graphics and necessary programming works as per specifications (Smart figure) 

  • Deep competence on virtual and physical environments (Hardware/Software) 

  • Be ready on the job site during temporary or final acceptance of Service Jobs ability to carry out team work with local and foreign teams to have effective problem solving and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to identify evolutionary initiatives to be evaluated from time to time in terms of applicability and costs 

  • Predisposition to the understanding of the HVAC and SECURITY field processes in order to be able to have a knowledge such manage the analytical part of the proposed role


  • Cyber Security (essential) 
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate (preferred) 
  • CISCO Certificate (preferred) 
  • Professional qualifications (eg Engineering) aligned with Security/CCTV and/or HVAC control systems with IoT &
  • Network solutions 
  • Knowledge of and experience in ICT and network communication (essential) 
  • Understand IOT (Internet of Things) technology – (essential) 
  • Understand and mitigate Cyber Security risk – (essential) 
  • Knowledge and experience of security cripto techniques, IPSec, SSL, HTTPS, Database Security, Securing Websites, DoS 
  • Understand and support Mobile Apps – (essential) 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical diagrams and electrical switching 
  • Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management systems and procedures (essential) 
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with Customers 
  • Experience servicing HVAC, Fire, Security or access entry and alarm systems 
  • Strong fault finding skills
  • Communication & interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent verbal & written skills
  • An ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure 
  • An ability to thrive in an ambiguous, “agile” environment where the development of systems and software is iterative and subject to frequent change and updates to meet and exceed Customer requirements 
  • Speak English language fluently.
  • Coordination and Planning
  • Ability to manage jobs and/ or projects to standards, budgets and deadlines, this includes the ability to carry out risk assessments and complete forecasts 
  • Cost and time to minimize the project 
  • Support FSS or FSL for project cost and progress reporting 
  • Analyse backward completion of the projects with difficulties/mistakes met and make necessary suggestion for organization tuning accordingly 
  • Create new sales opportunities during the application of the project (“Connected Services & Energy Management” too) 
  • Report possible future failures, disturbances and other opportunities for improvement 
  • Estimate materials costs and quantities provide the information to the FSS or FSL, and Service Sales.
