Current Need: Our location in Richmond, VA is currently seeking it's newest member of the Product Information Team. The Product Information Specialist is responsible for the research, development, and creation of product information specific to McKesson Brands private label products. This role works directly with the Product Development Team, Global Sourcing, and Suppliers to create product information documents. This person will then work directly with Brand Management and Marketing teams to ensure they are equipped to create artwork, packaging, web content, and collateral which is essential to launching and maintaining items. This is a highly cross functional role that is critical to McKesson Brands ability in launching new items in a timely matter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Researches and develops product content for the Product Information Documents that serve as the blueprint for the development of packaging and other product materials
  • Works collaboratively with Product Development, Suppliers, QA, and Brand Management to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to brand standards
  • Assists Product Information Specialists with these documents as necessary
  • Creates key new item documents working with the product development managers and database management to create items numbers, descriptions, and key info needed to set up new products in the McKesson information system
  • Consistently updates documents to reflect needed changes based on factors such as regulatory changes, artwork refreshes, supplier manufacturing, labeling, or material updates etc
  • Special projects, such as research to help with new product reviews, barcoding and labeling requirements, financial analytics, QA and Regulatory needs, etc

Minimum Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills
  • 2 + years of experience working with product or brand management
  • 2+ years of experience working with SharePoint
  • 2+ years of experience working within FDA requirements
  • Proven successful in working within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience with product packaging and developing product content within FDA regulation strongly preferred
  • Strong ability to drive initiatives through a matrixed organization
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and perform under deadline pressure
  • Self-motivated decisive thinker eager to learn a wide variety of products and business functions
  • Ability to research unfamiliar topics and write about them clearly for a variety of audiences

Education
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 4 year degree in Marketing, Data Analytics or related field strongly preferred
