This individual will oversee (directly and/or through Team Leaders) maintenance of production schedules and adherence to quality workmanship, along with the planning and assignment of responsibilities, and training across the Production group. This position requires consistent and constructive interaction with all departments, coupled with a high-level commitment to treat all people and issues with a high degree of integrity. The individual will promote a team environment, strong work ethic, and the versatility and creativity required to meet the organization’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain a highly efficient and motivated Production Team.
  • Complete production plan on schedule and be accountable for satisfying the detailed requirements of our customers.
  • Support continuing process improvement efforts in manufacturing aimed at reducing non-value-added activity, increasing productivity, and optimizing space.
  • Management of Raw/WIP inventory, including accountability for maintaining high accuracy levels for cycle counting and inventory transactions.
  • Work side by side with Quality Team to ensure that Production has the tools and support structure needed to provide the highest quality products.
  • Help process engineers enhance material handling techniques and offer help to achieve these improvements with discussions for creative and new ideas.
  • Participation in interviewing, hiring, and performance appraisals of Direct Labor individuals.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
  • Maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Support and drive HOS initiatives that drive the organization to World Class performance.


  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Word/ Excel and SAP.
  • 2+ years of experience leading cross functional groups.


  • Proficient organizational skills coupled with primary commitment toward safety and quality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, supportive of team and individual needs, and possess the ability drive results through team actions.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Principles.
  • Degree of creativity and latitude.
