The role is part of the SPS Program Management Excellence organization that will champion and manage the Definition, Deployment and Governance of all Program Management Standard Work - Methodologies, Digital Strategy, Measurements, and Reports, in alignment to SPS business goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Standardization in Program Management Methodologies and Techniques in Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Control and Closure of NPI/NPE programs, aligned to SPS NPI and Z21 processes
  • Take ownership of SPS Program Management framework and ensure continuous improvement to program and project management practices in line with evolving industry best practice
  • Act as the SME for both project management and program management best practice.
  • Define and Implement Standard Work and Maturity in PM cross functional effectiveness (Sales, Offering, HUE, Tech Support, E&T/EOPS, Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Cyber Security, IP and Legal)
  • Drive strong Z21 and Agile Project Management Practices and Maturity
  • Drive PM Tools strategy and Roadmap in alignment with SPS EOPS and IT teams
  • Develop Change Control Procedures so that Program Management Processes remain up to date, relevant and useful.
  • Establish standardization in Management Operating System for Project Reviews, Dashboard updates, Reporting, Escalations etc ensuring program communication is pro-active, fast and dynamic


  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business field of study. 
  • 10+ years progressive experience in program or project management or, engineering, to include:
  • project management methodologies (PMP certification, SAFe Agilist, etc.)
  • experience in the use of the various tools to aid program management (Project Portfolio Management tools – Accolade, MSPO, SmartSheet, JIRA, etc.)
  • 7+ years’ experience in New Product development programs


  • Ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Have significant large scale, complex development program management experience 
  • Considered expert in program management principles and 'real world' application. 
  • PMP certification desirable. SAFe Agilist certification desirable.
  • Experience with the application of New Product Introduction Phases 1-6 and/or SAFe Agile based Product Delivery
