SSSD has an opening for a Manufacturing Cost Manger 2 under our Manufacturing & Material Cost Business Management team. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California. The Program Cost Schedule Control Manager 2 will lead a team of approximately 12 manufacturing cost management analysts who support multiple SSSD programs.
In this role, the Manufacturing Cost Manager 2 will interface with program Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership, Control Account Managers (CAMs) and manufacturing functional managers on all manufacturing cost management processes and controls. The incumbent selected for this role must have experience in and give clear examples of competencies surrounding effectively working in a "fast paced" environment on both functional and restricted programs.
An active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) Clearance and/or Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Access is required to qualify for this position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Navigating through and leveraging tools within manufacturing business operations and systems including: Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Actual and Cost Estimating (PACE) software, SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Bills of Material (BOM), Solumina Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Program Scheduling and Cost integration
  • Giving daily direction, guidance, coaching, training, team building, goal setting, performance feedback and reviews to staff using common tools/processes as well as ERP to meet SSSD business requirements
  • Daily application of: Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), MMAS (Materials Management Accounting System), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements, Deltek Micro-Frame Project Manager (MPM) and/or Deltek Cost BReAkdown (COBRA) software, MS Office Suite, and MS Project
  • Managing/supporting internal cost & schedule status with project team members and presenting of top-level status to internal management and program customers
  • Collaborate across multiple organizations to understand issues and develop efficient and successful solutions


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Business Administration, Project Planning and Cost Control OR; 6 years of stated experience with a Master's Degree
  • An Active DoD TS and/or SCI Access
  • Leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of EVM
  • Working knowledge of MPM, COBRA, Excel / Visual
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current or previous experience with Restricted customer
  • EVM Certification
  • Master's Degree
