Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer level 2 or 3 based out of Boulder, CO. You will be responsible for supporting the development, test, and analysis of systems that are providing advanced algorithms to complex, multi-disciplinary problems. This work will include analyzing algorithm, subsystem, and interface performance. You are expected to communicate technical information effectively and clearly, present technical findings, and report status to colleagues including customers and program management as needed.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Analysis tool development (Python and/or MATLAB)
  • Technical presentations and analysis reports, as required
  • Coordinates with development and software teams to perform integration testing and performance analysis on software system and algorithm performance
  • Drives the engineering process development, continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives within their program


Qualifications:

Position may be hired as a Systems Engineer (level 2) or a Principal Systems Engineer (level 3).
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience with Linux
  • Python and/or MATLAB development experience
  • Performance analysis experience for complex, mathematically intensive systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or related discipline
  • Level 2 - 2 years of related experience; 0 years of related experience with a Masters
  • Level 3 - 5 years of related experience; 3 years of related experience with a Masters
  • DoD Top Secret clearance that is or has been active within the last two years
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • (In addition to the Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in performance analysis, requirements verification, simulation, validation, and algorithms
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance that is or has been active within the last two years
  • Experience with DevOps and/or Agile Development
  • Ability to travel on occasion (10% max) to Northrop Grumman and customer locations
Level 2: Salary Minimum: $81.664 - Salary Maximum: $122,496
Level 3: Salary Minimum: $101,200 - Salary Maximum: $151,8000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
