To realize this vision, Sunrun’s marketing team is developing advanced strategies to amplify the message, the engagement and the conversion of people to solar power their homes while driving volume and profitability of the business. We are actively hiring a world-class talent Marketing Operations Analytical Lead, reporting to the Senior director of Operation and Cost Management. The role will be used by our leaders to make strategic marketing and company decisions, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

Your mandate will be to maximize Marketing return through thought leadership and partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing investments, derive insights, and develop high-impact recommendations for senior marketing leaders.
  • Perform financial scenario analysis to support senior management's strategic decision making.
  • Forecast the value of marketing initiatives, identify channels opportunities to increase profitability and volume, and provide recommendations to shape cross-channels investment decisions.
  • Partner with marketers and other core functions in developing budgets and forecasts. Additionally, monitor spend daily.
  • Execute quantitative business analysis on campaign performance metrics to understand the performance drivers of our subscriptions business and identify ways to drive growth.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales and Finance on ROI and costs value analysis, and financial planning processes such as setting key performance indicators and goals, resource allocation, and business planning.
  • Dive deep into market, product and performance data to understand how user behaviors and market landscape are changing, and identify opportunities to grow the business, accelerate growth and drive product adoption/usage.
  • Propose and track performance metrics, provide insights and recommendations, and communicate these through executive level presentations.
  • Responsible for assembling, and analyzing market intelligence data including addressable markets, market share, market demand and customer characterization.
  • Perform analysis and reporting to assess competition’s impact on the business, identify opportunities, and evaluate key business performance indicators and business initiatives.
  • Visualize and present performance marketing data using quantitative and geographic methods.
  • Lead for competitive information including market strategies, and competitor product and pricing. Maintain data sources and reporting of key market share.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of spreadsheet based budgeting and forecasting tools. Design and operationalize processes across the department.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally on monthly marketing budgets. Also, partnering with finance operations and accounting teams to execute monthly close processes and perform variance analysis.
  • Evaluate budget proposals and funding requests to ensure best use of expenditures.
  • Support near-term and long-term forecasts, updating and submitting budgets to the corporate FP&A team.
  • Facilitate executing contracts as needed.
  • Ad hoc projects as necessary, supporting the executive team & marketing vision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required, MBA degree prefered.
  • 6 years of relevant work experience (e.g., financial planning and analysis, sales finance, data modeling, consulting).
  • Experience with data sets and SQL.
  • Experience building high quality presentations analyzing return on investment (ROI) and future strategy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with effective business judgment.
  • Effective communicator and show the ability to influence across multiple departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be personable yet persistent.
