Georgia-Pacific is seeking qualified applicants for the  Equipment  Adjuster Operator role at our Georgia-Pacific Ft. Smith facility. The essential functions of this job will require the ability to operate all components and systems of the Forming/Packaging/Robot Equipment safely and efficiently.

What You Will Do In Your Role

·Manipulate equipment controls to operate equipment

·Use a variety of hand tools to make necessary equipment adjustments

·Maintain production and operating records either electronically (computer) or manually (written)

·Read and understand instruction manuals, and various training materials and operating directions to perform the functions of the job

·Utilize cognitive reasoning skills to recognize, evaluate, correct, and train others on the various types of problems or issues that may arise in the operations department

·Perform work that will be require walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, stooping, and work from high places and/or tight/restricted areas of the equipment

    The Experience You Will Bring

    Requirements:

    • One (1) year or more manufacturing experience
    • Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions

    What Will Put You Ahead

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have at least one (1) year of previous Adjustor Operator experience
    • Experience working a rotating shift
