JOB SUMMARY
Leads a team responsible for initiating and delivering platform specific product development initiatives. Responsible for front-end application development on video streaming JavaScript platforms. Collaborates with both internal and external software development teams. Will own the successful development and maintenance of a platforms backlog, documentation for multiple audiences, and release planning and support. Understands best practices for building and maintaining web-based applications, leveraging modern frameworks and tools. Oversee solutions for reporting of operational performance metrics, customer communication and notification, and competitive analysis. Must be passionate about changing how Charters customers consume our services, while caring deeply about improving the relationship that Charter has with its customers.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently oversees all efforts to innovate while simplifying the customer experience across Samsung TV, Xbox, Chromecast, Web, Set top boxes.

Provide strategic, technical leadership and innovation to a cross functional team through the development, implementation and launch of new features.

Own and is accountable for management of product lifecycle, development and roadmap for Samsung TV, Xbox, Chromecast, Web. supporting residential and commercial users.

Provide direction, leadership, and professional development for all aspects of front-end software development for one or more video applications/UI technology stacks.

Launch projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently.

Develop an effective front line leadership team and assists them with developing their direct reports to drive a high-performance culture.

Instill and reinforce process and procedure to an enterprise application development environment.

Develop and enhance credibility with internal and external team members to direct planning and implementation, while driving deliverable timelines.
Own the successful implementation of use cases, business rules, and functions as the liaison and facilitates collaboration amongst the cross functional teams and leaders.

Oversee platform backlog to ensure work is properly prioritized and delivered in a timely manner.

Is accountable for the delivery of the product vision for the platform.

Proactively identifies and achieves key customer experience metrics for the video platform, making adjustments as necessary to reflect platform changes

Secure customer-facing product enhancements that generate increased engagement, revenue growth and market penetration.

Drive teams to creatively ingest information on performance and market analysis of video platforms, customer operational metrics, achievement of plan objectives, etc.

Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Experience retaining, managing, and growing talented team to deliver high quality digital products in very aggressive timeframes
Possesses strong technical knowledge of client-side and API development
Knowledge of architecture, design and performance optimization of traditional and IP video streaming technologies
Experience managing internal and external vendors and customers to meet deadlines and initiatives
Data driven decision making and excellent analytical skills
Demonstrated project management experience
Ability to manage multiple projects across a broad application portfolio simultaneously
Adaptability to manage through project priority and organizational changes
Ability to problem solve without escalation or with thoughtful recommendation when escalated
Ability to motivate, and manage cross-functional teams, influencing peers and leaders
Ability to develop, communicate and implement strategies and tactics
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and quickly to meet changing demands
Ability to communicate effectively orally and electronically with all levels of management
Strong verbal and written presentation skills including use of Outlook, Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint

Education
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science; masters degree or equivalent experience preferred, but not required

Related Work Experience
10+ years of Product development, product management experience in telecommunications, software or web services or other related industries
5+ years of JavaScript/HTML product and development management

The pay for this position has a minimum of $127300. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as commissions or bonuses.
