Wealth and Investment Management (WIM)’s Conduct Insights Team was established as a front-line team to research Conduct related trends and anomalies, provide data supported narratives, develop proactive and reactive detection capabilities, and provide guidance on control and process changes to address gaps. This team's responsibilities include Conduct Risk model ground truth review and output validation, emerging risk identification, developing and presenting the narrative to senior leaders on all aspects of Conduct Risk in WIM, fraud detection strategies,  Matters Requiring Attention (MRA), and Consent Order response, and ad-hoc analysis for Executive Committees.  The WIM Conduct Insights Team is hiring a Business Risk and Control Officer. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop data driven analytic capabilities to identify anomalies, outliers, emerging trends and conduct risks across the WIM landscape. Primary areas of focus include Internal Fraud, Sales Practices, Surveys, Customer Complaints, and Allegations.
  • Analyze very large, structured or unstructured data from multiple sources to extract value and actionable insights
  • Apply knowledge of business, customers, and/or products/services/portfolios synthesize data to 'form a story'
  • Support activities aligned with conduct specific work streams – including but not limited to Complaints, Allegations, GPS, Expenses, Relationship Surveys, Sales practice focused reporting, State of Ethics, Reputation risk, Human Capital risk, Internal fraud detection and activities required to lead the risk transformation project efforts, as well as developing presentations and materials for executive level audiences
  • Engage with Strategy, Planning and Governance leadership teams across the enterprise as required in support of consent order work stream activities and deliverables crucial to assess and mitigate risks associated with development of new data sets, metrics, KPIs/KRIs, and project plans

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management
  • 10+ years of SQL or SAS experience
  • 5 + years of Tableau Dashboard development experience
  • 5 + years of technology project management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of fraud detection experience
  • 5+ years of data warehouse experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Wealth & Investment management products/services/Brokerage data environments - WIM Analytic Environment (WAE), Client Link, Smart Station, Brokerage Data Warehouse (BDW), InfoMAX
  • 5+ years of experience using data and analytics to inform and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Ability to develop automated reports and dashboards as needed to support common types of requests
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data visualizations to convey analytical insights efficiently and effectively

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
