Job Description:

The MLRS Family of Munitions \(MFOM\) line of business is looking for a software engineering technical lead for the Precision Strike Missile \(PrSM\) program\. As the future subject matter expert and technical lead, the selected candidate will be responsible for the existing and future technical development of this advanced Missile system\. Responsibilities include: understanding and authoring derived missiles requirements, providing architectural, design and development updates, ensure update to software test descriptions and safety requirements, answer customer questions and mentor team members on system functionality, ensure execution of the Lockheed Martin Product Development Process \(PDP\), promote Collaboration and Engagement among team members, and write good quality software\.

Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid\-Cities” region in the Dallas\-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas\. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth\. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate\. The Mid\-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty\-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth\. **Basic Qualifications:**

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline \(Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics\), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree\. Considered an emerging authority\.

Experience working with embedded software engineering teams through full software life cycle development\.

Missile development and sensor integration experience\.

Experience documenting software design, process/plans and test plans & description\.

Ability to present status to the customer and engineering/program management\.

Proven software development experience in a relevant real\-time embedded environment using Ada and/or C\+\+\.

Work on cross\-discipline teams of systems, hardware, software, and test engineers while supporting all phases of application development from concept through qualification testing\.

The candidate must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, be able to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, peers, senior management levels and the customer\.

Position Required Secret Clearance Prior to Start

**Desired Skills:**

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or Applied Mathematics\.

Previous Control Account Management \(CAM\) would be very helpful\.

Agile life cycle development experience

Software development in accordance to Mil\-Std\-882E and/or AMCOMR\-385\-17\.

Strong communication skills in order to adapt/explain solutions to different organizational environments\.
