**Description:** This position, within the Air Mobility & Maritime Missions Line of Business of Aeronautics, supports the International & Fleet Support team and requires significant contract & proposal management / capture experience\. The selected candidate will need to demonstrate a strong long history of successfully negotiating and administering contracts with both US Government and Direct Commercial Sale customers\. This position also serves as a team lead for Legacy Support and Strategic Partnership programs within AMMM Contracts\. While leadership experience is not a prerequisite, the preferred candidate will have demonstrated leadership potential and a desire to mentor and develop emerging talent within the organization\.

The successful candidate will have hands\-on knowledge and experience with various contracting types, especially with sustainment programs\. The position will often require the individual to develop and apply advanced concepts, techniques, standards and solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation\. Solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions\. Frequent reviews and evaluations of customer requests for proposals, or revisions to contracts, will be required\. The practice of developing risk assessments in order to offer, and manage, alternative approaches, including alternative contractual language, to mitigate risks will be a necessity\. This position manages the negotiation and administration of all standard and nonstandard contracts\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education\.

Experience with Department of Defense \(DoD\) Contracting\.

Experience working with stakeholders from other organizations, including regular senior management level briefings on key issues\.

Experience with and working knowledge of both DOD FAR/DFARS and Direct Commercial Sale contracting\.

Experience with Contract Negotiations\.

**Desired Skills:**

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 years or more of professional experience; or 13 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree\. Considered an expert, authority in discipline\.

Minimum 10 years of DoD Contracting Experience\.

Experience developing solutions to a variety of complex and strategic contracting issues which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation\.

Significant capture and proposal experience, including negotiation of commercial terms and conditions\.

Leadership skills and a team player who is a problem solver and self\-starter\.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments concurrently\.

Ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic, strategic, highly visible, multi\-location environment within tight deadlines\.

Ability to complete tasks without oversight and supervision\.

Knowledge and understanding of aviation business, manufacturing and engineering processes related to aviation\.

Working knowledge of logistics support contracting\.

Experience in the protection of intellectual property other than just the proper marking of documents\.
