As aSolutions Architect you will support a range of ITSP partner accounts, working to grow revenue by rapidly increasing Poly market share and wallet share in the Hosted voice Service Provider/ITSP community. This willinclude maintenance and growth within existing SPs as well as supporting and onboarding new SP partners. You will develop a co-operative working environment with business development managers, regional channel directors and peers within the ITSP organization. You will interface with Voice BU product management, to promote SP technology requirements.

Primary Responsibility

Every day is different, but here is an overview of what you will be required to do:
  • Solutions Architect / Consultant focused on Service Provider Initiatives in the VoIP hosted Service Provider market.
  • Lead technical initiatives to develop or enhance voice service offerings with Poly solutions for prospective Poly Service Provider customers.
  • Work with sales teams supporting Service Providers including: service development, design, proposals, complex architectural support, and technical training.
  • Evangelize Poly solutions within the ITSP and SP community.
  • Active participant in key partner interactions and joint solutions.
  • Deliver solution and product presentations to varied audiences, including CXO's, technical team members (engineering, product management, operations, IT), and non-technical audiences (sales).
  • Engage in consulting activities with Product management, Engineering, IT development, Operations and technical sales staff at targeted Service Providers.
  • Interface with business unit product management teams to communicate and drive customer requirements.
  • Lead certification and testing efforts for new software and devices and interoperability with SP customers.

Role Requirements:

The role requires a knowledge of and proficiency in the following competencies:
  • Certification or equivalent knowledge in networking, VoIP.
  • Experience with Broadsoft or other SIP based IP PBX.
  • 5+ years' experience of working with or for a Service Provider in a technical and/or business development capacity.
  • 4+ years Sales Engineering experience in a mixture of networking, UC, Voice, or Video applications and customer account development with experience in voice and video.
  • Experience as an architect in SP environment including provisioning, billing, operations tools.
  • Knowledge of IETF, ITU, standards, especially SIP and media related standards.
  • Capable of creating and conducting both sales and technical documents and presentations (ppt) and drawings (visio).
  • Experience with Communications and Networking solutions (IP, UC solutions, Telephony, Video) including underlying technologies (IP,SIP, RTP, among others).
  • Seasoned creator of presentations, solution proposals, and business cases.
  • Experienced in the 'consultative' approach to selling. -> 'trusted advisor'
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer focus and adaptability.
