Echo Procedural Nursing - Echo Pre / Post at HCA Mission Hospital

 

Registered Nurse - Days, Varying - PRN

 

Registered Nurses working on the Echo teams at HCA Mission Health System will float between the inpatient Echo Department and Outpatient Mission CV Diagnostics locations in Asheville and Hendersonville.  As a whole, the Echo / CV Diagnostics Department is high-volume and fast-paced, handling over 49,000 procedures per year (between all locations).

 

Nurses working on this unit will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary care team and will participate in a Team-Based Care Model.  Prior knowledge of Procedural Nursing processes is most beneficial to RNs joining this team.  Previous experience in Critical Care Nursing areas is also considered. Experience with EKG interpretation is essential. Maintaining BLS, ACLS are required.   Nurses working on this team will have the opportnity to expand their knowledge of Cardiac Imaging Modalities.

Registered Nurse at Mission Hospital:

Role Summary: Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

 

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval.

 

Preferred Education: Masters in Nursing.

 

Required License or Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.

 

Preferred License or Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty.

 

Required Experience: One-year hospital nursing experience (this is the base experience required for the RN role at Mission Hospital, please see "Preferred Experience" for department-specific needs)

 

Preferred Experience:  2+ years of experience as a RN in a Critical Care or Procedural Nursing area, with strong EKG interpretation skills.
