About the Job

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned business analyst with an extensive background in sales, ordering, product/offers, billing efforts. This role is responsible for managing the product roadmap/epics/features/user stories process by acting as a liaison/Epic Owner Delegate between business stakeholders and architects/delivery teams to align business needs with a technical architecture and end-solution. This person should have an intimate knowledge of the current state of the technology platform, and the needs of the product management teams to envision future platform capabilities and support delivery teams in achieving the desired future state.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define product roadmaps in close partnership with business clients, product domain leads, architect leads
  • Play the role of an Epic Owner Delegate and work closely with various product managers to create and groom good quality epics
  • Assist with Prioritizing & Sizing Epics to identify Technical Constraints, Dependencies, Acceptance Criteria & Document the Customer Journey Flow
  • Assist with Managing & Refining Epic Backlog; Prioritize epics based on business priorities and architectural roadmap/feasibility.
  • Review and provide feedback on Architecture Enabler Epics, Solution Intent, technical design.
  • Ensure epics meet “DOR - Definition of Ready” criteria for them to be handed over to capacity planning and delivery teams.
  • Elicit, analyze, and validate project requirements that result in new applications or enhancements to existing applications, systems and/or business process design.
  • Prepare requirements packages, features, user stories, participate in grooming sessions, manage requirements traceability changes, artifacts, as well as develop reference and resource materials.
  • Drive, develop and maintain numerous project deliverables that support the program, including functional and non-functional specifications
  • Understand business issues and needs that translate into requirements to create the overall solution.
  • Support various testing activities - User Acceptance Testing, End-to-End testing, Production Validation/Green Room testing
  • Participate across the program/project lifecycle to ensure each program increment has met its intended goal as defined by stakeholder specifications.
  • Work closely with delivery team to create progress reports on the product roadmap, epics, and features; Routinely create and present status slides to Senior leadership.
  • Lead, guide and manage product owners and help streamline work processes to improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8-10 years of business analysis experience with proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Experience within high tech, software and/or wireless/telecom industry highly desired
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or experience in software development, and web technologies
  • Strong background in Lean and Agile principles, and passion for Continuous Improvement 
  • Experience in product roadmap assessment and planning.
  • Experience in driving and gathering requirements, prioritization, assessments and solutioning
  • Experience in working with both the business and technical team, coordinating/leading solution design, development/configuration, and deployment across multi-dimensional teams.
  • Experience working within scaled agile development team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders
  • Key technical skills: Jira, Scaled Agile Framework, SharePoint
