Application Developer on HEDIS team is responsible for creating technical specs and code development for NCQA measures. The team is responsible for development and maintenance of multiple applications using .NET and SQL Server technologies. This position provides opportunity to grow as technical lead with additional responsibilities.

Core responsibilities
- Developing and implementing technical solutions as assigned, ensuring and adhering to all established methodologies, standards and guidelines.
- Responsible for updates, maintenance, testing, execution of annual NCQA measure specification changes.
- Convert NCQA measure requirements to technical specification and develop metadata to pass for the defined framework on Hadoop platform in generating measure rates.
- Maintenance of internal software that house medical record data and generate HEDIS samples from measure data.
- Provide research and analysis support to business queries regarding data quality using Hadoop databases including Hive to perform data profiling/data analysis/root cause analysis on big data platform using Aginity, Python and Hue.
- Analyze and design documents, program specifications, test plans and results, design, code, testing, debugging, and documentation of those programs while delivering assignments within specified time frames.
- Responsible for testing of NCQA provided data through internal measure processing framework.
- Competent to work with minimal supervision in a technical capacity on most phases of the development cycle.
- Learning new programming languages, frameworks, and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to broaden your skills and support project delivery.
- Actively participate in Technical Forums to foster a collaborative development community.

Required Qualifications
1-3+ years’ experience in application development or equivalent technical IT background
1-3 years’ experience in following programming languages and technical tools
Tools to access Hadoop DB, Python, Scala, SQL Server, SAS, .NET and SQL
1-3years’ experience in systems analysis and software/solution design
• Experience with the systems development life cycle (SDLC)

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or commensurate experience
