HCE provides cloud-based Enterprise Performance Management offerings in a variety of domains such as Buildings, Industrial Plants and Aero enabling customers with faster innovation, efficient operations and improving the value of their assets. Powering all the HCE offerings is the underlying platform -- Honeywell Forge which provides an open and extensible foundation to unify operations and leverage the innovative capabilities consistently across the customer business units.

The Forge Cloud Services team is building micro services for Authentication & Authorization, Design System and Reusable component library. All of Honeywells future Connected Building, Connected Plant, Connected Worker and Connected Aircraft offerings will be using these offerings. We are looking for a Lead UI Architect, which is a mix of technical adviser, leader, coder, and evangelist. This position is responsible for the overall architecture and design of the UI. The position is also responsible for estimation, planning, execution and delivery of enterprise performance applications for mobile. This position requires working closely with the product teams and Forge Cloud Services teams to lead the creation of industry leading reusable UI components and apps for iOS and Android platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product managers/product owners, technical leaders, other domain architects and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, ensure the system is implemented as designed and in adherence to the implementation guidelines
  • Partner with the product owners to review and refine business requirements into core system capabilities
  • Assist developers, TPOs, and designers in conceptualizing and validating solutions that meet business requirements
  • Understand various non-functional aspects in application design and provide a solution to optimize performance, scalability etc
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must be able to document and demonstrate technical solutions by developing documentation, diagrams, code review guidelines for mobile solutions on iOS, Android and Hybrid platforms
  • Mentor team members on new technologies in area of expertise

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related disciplines or equivalent relevant experience
  • 8 years experience specialized in front end technologies and mobile-first development
  • 5 years in roles including architecture or technical leadership
  • 5 years experience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality
  • 5 years demonstrated knowledge and skills in Application Architecture and Data Architecture
  • Logging frameworks and their integration into SPA applications
