The Technical Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering team supporting the business within Hot Section Module Center and will play a key role in the tactical and strategic direction. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership, interpersonal and team skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements. Additionally, we will be looking for individuals with strong business acumen, manufacturing proficiency, and the ability to develop and insert new technologies into the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead manufacturing team in all areas of engineering, processes, work instructions, quality requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive product cost reduction and ensure War on Cost targets are achieved through data driven process improvements and deployment of new technologies.
  • Manage manufacturing engineering resources and assignments across manufacturing cells and effectively manage the Manufacturing Engineering support budget for respective business unit.
  • Develop and drive standardized engineering practices, processes, tools and methods across all products.
  • Develop, plan, and implement capital requirements to support productivity improvements, technology insertion, manufacturing automation and capacity for future programs.
  • Implement and execute engineering changes to ensure customer requirements are met and financial commitments are achieved.
  • Identify and mitigate development program manufacturing risks to ensure program deliverables and timelines are met; Ensure MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) aligns to Program requirements as hardware transitions from development to production across business unit.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or similar degree
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or similar experience OR 3+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or similar experience with an Advanced Degree
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or similar discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or similar experience
  • Aerospace Industry
  • Craft clear communication
  • Project management skills
