We are currently accepting applications for a state-licensed Mammography Technician (Mammo Tech) on a PRN/per diem basis.  Proficiency in X-Ray is also required as coverage may be assigned in both areas.  A PRN schedule requires flexibility to cover various shifts on weekdays as well as weekends.  Call may also be assigned as needed.  Responsibilities include room preparation, equipment operation, and physician assistance during procedures.  Secondary duties may include patient transportation, clerical, receptionist, file room, stocking supplies, procedure room cleanliness, and participating in quality improvement activities.  ARRT (M) + ARRT (R), Florida CRT and BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a 2-year or Associate Degree
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Valid ARRT (M) + ARRT (R)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience; experience in an acute-care setting preferred
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs.
