Distribution Center General Maintenance Associates are responsible for maintaining cleanliness of all common areas and/or work areas as assigned(i.e., breakrooms, restrooms, office area, work area, shop floor, exterior of building, etc ). Individuals in this position must work cooperatively productively with other Associates. Following Company safety policies and procedures is of great importance to this position. **This is an overnight position. Schedule is Sunday through Thursday 9:30PM- 6AM** 


30% - Equipment Operation and Maintenance: - Works with equipment repair vendor for contract repairs and maintenance - Performs minor repairs on equipment, ensures proper charging/maintenance of batteries and battery equipment

30% - Building Maintenance: - Paints, plasters and performs other building maintenance functions including minor plumbing and minor carpentry in order to maintain and repair facilities - Reviews MHE Safety Checklists daily, lock/tag out equipment as needed, address maintenance of equipment in a timely manner

20% - Cleanliness: - Maintains condition of Distribution center work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)

10% - Safety: - Follow Company safety policies and procedures and encourages other Associates to do the same

5% - HazMat Response: - Reacts to maintenance related incidents, such as spills - Safely operates forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products

5% - Trash Compactor: - Ensures trash compactor is emptied on a timely basis

This position reports to the Manager Supervisor. This position has 0 direct reports.

Environmental Job Requirements: 
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Travel: 0-10%

Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:  
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: less than 1 year

Physical Requirements: 
Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
