STS MTS-A & HD Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team to support our product lines. Our program area contains a portfolio of development, production and sustainment programs. The position requires an individual who possesses overall business knowledge and is able to lead and support frequent financial reviews with Finance management, Program Management & the Program Team.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cost/schedule control & analysis, variance analysis, EAC & policy compliance, proposal support, cash management, capital/company funded requests, ROI analysis, and audit/policy compliance. The successful candidate will partner with their finance peers, Program Managers, CAM___s/IPTLs/OPMs, and Material Program Managers to influence decisions and provide personal involvement in the successful execution of contracts. The role also leads program level Short Range Outlook (SRO) tracking, financial forecasting and reporting, and preparation of Five Year and Annual Operating Plans. Individual must be comfortable working closely with Program Management, Finance Management, and functional organizations.

The position is an integral part of the Program Teams helping to build strategy, creating a management operating system to maximize organizational performance, developing organizational capability, and meeting customer & shareholder commitments. Excellent communication skills required to satisfy financial deliverables and provide key actionable information to stakeholders.


Required Skills:
  • 5+ Years of Finance or related experience
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop reports to drive solutions and process improvements
  • Experience analyzing data and information necessary to ensure program performance to plan and to ensure that problem areas are identified and corrective action is taken
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial managers
  • Work independently under limited supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficient computer software skills: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Desired Skills:
  • Defense industry experience
  • Program Controls experience
  • SAP Analysis for Office and Business Planning Simulation (BPS) experience is a plus
  • Experience communicating concisely & effectively with Finance Management and Program Leadership Team
  • Experience with change management
Required Education:
Bachelor___s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
