The Per Diem Psychiatry Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:
  • Conducting psychiatric evaluations with children and adolescents in the Boston Children's Hospital Medical floors and the Psychiatry Consultation Service on an as needed basis.
  • On call and/or off shift availability (eves, overnights, weekends).

To qualify, you must have:
  • A Master's degree in Social Work. Licensed LCSW or LICSW in the state of MA.
  • Preferred experience doing emergency/crisis evaluations with children and adolescents.
  • The ability to be available for scheduled shifts, and the option of being on-call from home.
  • The ability to work in fast-paced, crisis-oriented medical setting.
  • The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs.
  • Communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well developed writing skills.
