Our client is searching for a manager/leader of the critical Information Technology (IT) projects and the daily operation of the computing environment.

The candidate will be responsible for the consistent operations and execution of programs/initiatives critical to delivering strategic IT initiatives.

This location is one of the major operations centers for the country, and the consistent delivery of IT technology and projects is core to their business need. You will help lead the project focus and delivery of IT upscaling, improvements, and maintaining of all technology located at this site.

The company seeks a highly dynamic leader with experience and exposure to IT systems and technologies. Although "hands-on" experience would be great, the company is looking for a mix of technical awareness of systems used in delivery (servers, database administration, audio/visual technologies) and the project management mindset and communication style to deliver updates and progress on those key initiatives. You will be working with contractors and vendors as well based on need.

The company would love to see either a Senior NCO or JMO with a MOS tied to the Information Technology/Information Systems environment from the military skillsets. You should have a minimum of 5 years of leading IT projects and systems and be an incredible communicator. (You will be working with many cross-functional departments on-site, including communication to the Director of the North American IT Project Management Office and the Chief Information Systems Officer.

Some of the general activities could include:

IT Infrastructure and projects, servers, network status to include outages and planned outages, communications media to include displays and audio, and application implementation.

What should you bring to the table?

- A strong technical person who understands IT systems enough to be dangerous.

- Someone who is a self-starter, proactive, and needed minimal oversight

- You should be a problem solver, and someone who is they don't know the answer will find it (and not waits for someone to tell them)

- You should be able to think tactically and strategically

- You should be comfortable in complex projects and is someone who can maneuver without rigidity

- Lastly, you should be someone who drives a safety mindset, and a sense of urgency

This is a Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm role with the flexibility needed based on project need.

This position is not eligible for remote work.

Salary, plus a targeted bonus, medical/dental/vision/401k. The company has a long history of developing their employees through their scholar program and may offset you needing/wanting to use your GI Bill.
