Requisition Number: 2019 - 210 Business Unit: College of Medicine Department: Neurological Sciences 50001975 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sung-Ho Huh, Department of Neurological Sciences, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Huh's research involves investigating cellular and molecular basis of progenitor development, maintenance and regeneration using mouse model systems. Focus is on (i) identifying downstream targets of FGF signaling for sensory progenitor maintenance and differentiation; (ii) identifying roles of Wnt/?-catening signaling in sensory development; and (iii) identifying mechanisms regulating nephron progenitor maintenance. Individuals interested in working on understanding the mechanisms by which signaling pathways which regulate inner ear progenitor cells are generated and maintained during development and regeneration should apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in developmental biology or related field and a good publication record. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong passion and commitment to science. Experience with mouse embryology, complicated mouse genetics, RNA sequencing, in vitro organ culture are desired.
