Eaton’s Marketing Commercial Operations Division is currently seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team. This position is based remotely.

Position Overview:

The Senior Automation Engineer provides presale and postsale technical support for PLC’s, Operator Interfaces, Industrial Communication Products and Sensors. The position includes assisting customers with product selection, troubleshooting, and application assistance received via phone and email.

In this function you will:

+ Provide technical assistance for PLC’s, Operator Interfaces, sensor and industrial communication products

+ Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC and Operator Interface programs

+ Solve complex customer application issues

+ Provide support via phone and email

+ Effectively communicate product value proposition and product line strategies

+ Review and provide feedback on product literature developed by product line

+ Make recommendations for product enhancements and offerings

+ Proactively communicate customer needs to the product lines

+ Generate sales leads for the field sales organization

+ Participate in the development and maintenance of product support resources.

+ Participate on teams to enhance team performance and drive process improvement

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ Engineering or technical bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

+ Minimum 3 years of Industrial Controls or Automation experience required.

+ Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:

+ Experience programming PLC’s and Operator Interfaces

+ Experience implementing Industrial communication networks

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $74,880 - $102,960 a year.
