Director, Marketing – Sales & Distribution

Location: Prefer Boston or a location in the NE, but will consider candidates in any of our locations.

We are seeking a dynamic Director, Marketing to join our team and help us fulfill our mission of helping people live their best lives. 

The successful candidate is an effective team leader, change agent, and team player who brings strength in marketing growth strategy, planning, prioritizing and orchestrating the development of experiences, while also demonstrating proven ability to:

  • Act as a partner in the business planning process at the local market and enterprise levels.
  • Build expertise in sales processes, strategies, and client/member needs. Serve as a primary marketing conduit to distribution teams.
  • Design and implement B2B marketing growth strategies and plans integrated campaigns across all channels to drive acquisition, upsell, and retention in local markets.  
  • Use customer data and market information to proactively identify and assess new business opportunities to create customer value and profitably grow the business. 
  • Develop business cases to support investment in growth marketing initiatives.
  • Lead a team in the identification and deployment of innovative, forward-thinking campaigns that drive measurable value.  
  • Write and edit content for a variety of mediums and ensures that all communications are high quality and adhere to brand standards and style.
  • Develops and implements metrics to report and monitor progress against goals. 
  • Partner closely with product marketing, brand marketing, and enterprise resources to deliver a seamless experience for our clients and members
  • Work with creative partners to develop messaging that is compelling and on-brand.
  • Recommends changes and adjustments to the marketing strategies to increase program effectiveness. Acts as a champion of change.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates the performance of direct reports. Must be a leader that will roll up your sleeves and work with the team.




  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or related field and 8 years of marketing & communications experience with demonstrated results, preferably in health care industry; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Requires marketing experience partnering with sales, and developing marketing strategies that drive sales growth. 
  • B2B experience in a highly regulated industry is required. (i.e. financial services, insurance, etc.)
  • Leadership experience required – must have managed direct reports.
  • Exceptional relationship building and communications skills; resourcefulness and proven ability to get things done; collaborative partner with internal and external stakeholders; customer and client-centric focus; ability to prioritize work and influence others. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Adobe tech, Constant Contact desirable

Annual Salary Range*: $114,240 - 142,800

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
