Job Description

The Senior Manager of Human Resources Analytics is responsible for leading all HR analytical efforts resulting in an unprecedented level of people focused insight across the organization. The Senior Manager of Human Resources Analytics will collaborate with business partners to understand their current and future analytical needs and leverage data form multiple sources in order to discern patterns, insights or inferences that are not obvious to the casual observer. The Senior Manager of Human Resources Analytics will ensure that the HR Analytics team delivers complex data and intricate calculations in a simple, elegant, and easy to follow manner which will empower business partners to make data driven decisions. Through a combination of technology, expertise and team building, the Senior Manager of Human Resources Analytics will develop predicative analytics that will drive a new level of Human Resources insight.

  • Lead the Human Resources Analytics team in compiling, analyzing, and visualizing complex data sets to provide strategic insight across all HR functions
  • Partner with business leaders both inside and outside the department to identify and define analytical requirements to support of both ongoing operations and new initiatives
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of weekly ,monthly, and annual HR metrics and dashboards inclusive of simple, yet compelling visualizations that tell a definitive story
  • Leverage multiple data sources to provide data driven insight in a predicative rather than reactive manner across a wide range of business disciplines
  • Lead the strategic planning, dashboard creation, database management and comprehensive reporting for all Human Resources functions
  • Collect, categorize and analyze multiple independent data points in order to quantify HR initiatives or actions
  • Analyze all aspects HR and overall operations and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Deliver data and analytical insight as needed to foster continued store count and financial growth
  • Assess and benchmark external HR strategies, follow industry and economic HR trends and advise the business as to potential areas of internal improvement
  • Continually scan external thought leadership resources for best practices and breakthrough thinking; conduct specific issue-based research as needed

Job Qualifications - Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree is required; Degree in Computer Science, Math, or Statistics a plus
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in related position or field
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) is required
  • Tableau Desktop/Server Certified a plus
  • Retail experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop and lead high performing teams
  • Proven strategic thinker with the ability to develop creative approaches to complex problems
  • Strong collaborative instincts and abilities
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Strong mathematics skills
  • Advanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis
  • Working knowledge of statistics
  • Exceptional technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
  • Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
