Department Overview:
Information and Cyber Security (ICS) is part of Wells Fargo's Technology organization. Wells Fargo views ICS as enabling lines of business to mitigate information security risk in accordance with our risk appetite. Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, Information & Cyber Security team (ICS) protects our infrastructure, company data, and customer assets while ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and laws




This role will collaborate with the stateside access management team to work on different products on the web access management space. In this positon, engineer will be responsible for the design, configuration, deployment, adoption and support of on premise and cloud based authentication solutions including password-less and FIDO compliant authentication technologies. This position would be deploying the updates of the authentication products in the enterprise infrastructure.


  • Responsible for the design, configuration, deployment, adoption and support of on premise and cloud based authentication solutions including password-less and FIDO compliant authentication technologies.

  • Responsible for working in an Agile DevOps Environment supporting the solutions and will drive success with both deployment and support for these solutions.

  • Responsible for providing expertise to lines of business on implementing password-less in natively built applications and or via Single Sign On

  • Responsible for Integrations of Authentication with VPN products

  • Responsible for enabling password-less and FIDO compliant authentication to workstations, Servers, web applications which are in the scope of Enterprise strategy.

  • Responsible for configuring and onboarding OIDC/OAUTH enabled applications into the service

  • Responsible for troubleshooting application issues related to authentication solution (password-less/FIDO) integrated with PING Federation, PING Access and providing the root cause analysis to the issue and resolution.

  • Responsible for providing the 12/7 on-call support for the production/non-production issues.

  • Responsible for implementing change requests, work orders for the production/non-production environment.

Market Skills and Certifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of information security experience on Single Sign On Technologies.

  • 1+ years of experience on FIDO Certified Product

  • 1+ years of experience in designing API's or working with OIDC/OAUTH in the integration/configuration space

  • Experience with any claims-based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, Microsoft and other IDP related technologies.

  • Experience of security controls including vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.

  • Good understanding and work experience on MFA , 2FA and IAM technologies

  • Good understanding and work experience on Windows Domain Controllers and Certificate Services

  • 2+ years' experience configuring and working with OIDC/OAUTH application integrations

  • 4+ years of experience with PING Federate, PING Access and PING One, experience includes setup the configuration/polices as per the application requirement and making sure that it is working as expected.

  • 2+ years of experience in installation and configuration of Ping Federate and Ping Access services in enterprise environment.

  • Experience in capacity planning and performance tuning of PING Federate, PING Access and any password-less authentication (HYPR) products.

  • Deep understanding of Application, Infrastructure and security architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability

  • 4+ years of experience and strong knowledge in SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) concepts.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Kubernetes and cloud containers is highly desired skillset to deploy the PING Federate and PING Access in the cloud environment.

  • Experience or comfort with FIDO UAF and FIDO2

  • Good Knowledge of Biometric Authentication Solution

  • Good Knowledge or work experience of HYPR FIDO Control Center

  • Good Knowledge of NGINX and MYSQL

  • Experience with Splunk monitoring (end user for reporting, dashboards, not administration experience needed)

  • Good knowledge on Cloud Infrastructure Models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, IDaaS)

  • Ability to manage highly complex issues and negotiate solutions

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Good negotiation, conflict resolution and decision making skills

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Technology/Engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to document procedures for other engineers to follow

  • Excellent communication skills working with development, production and application teams for multiple lines of business

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to address real-time production issues and restore service from an operations stand-point

  • At least one or more certifications on IAM tool specific certification

  • Knowledge of information security concepts. Deep working knowledge of at least one IAM tool/operating system
