Some of your specific responsibilities as an Electro\-Optical Engineer for High Speed Electronics will include:

• System interfaces including structural attachment for installation, thermal characteristics, chassis design

• Support specification and selection of COTS \(Commercial\-off\-the\-Shelf\), ROTS \(Ruggedized\-off\-the\-Shelf\), NDI \(Non\-Developmental Item\) and/or custom components

• Requirements review

• Test procedure development and execution

• End\-of\-life assessments, impact and resolution

• Support of environmental test and analysis

We are looking for a strong background in electro\-optical engineering\. You should demonstrate effective verbal communication, develop concise and professional technical presentations, and deliver briefings to peers, leadership, and US Government customers\. We are seeking a new colleague who is willing and able to work in a classified environment\.

You would typically have a Bachelors degree and 2\-5 years of professional experience, or a Masters and 0\-3 years\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

• Proficient with Pro\-E and/or Creo or other 3D software \(such as Catia, Solidworks, etc\) and wiring tools such as Zuken\.

• Electro\-mechanical design experience

• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance

**Desired Skills:**

• Working knowledge of printed wiring board and surface mount technologies is desired including FPGA and ASIC devices, fiber optics cables, wiring types, electrical connectors

• Familiarity with supporting production and test activities

• Working knowledge of military and/or industry hardware specifications is desired\.

• Experience designing equipment for space applications

• Some experience working with MILSPEC requirements

• Knowledge of electrical/computing system design \(servers, switches, power supplies, packaging, custom circuits, cabling\)

• Some exposure to environmental qualification testing of hardware for space applications including SMC\-S\-016, Mils\-STD\-810

• Experience with CAD development tools \(Zuken E3, Microsoft VISIO a plus\)
