Our Life Sciences cyber security team supports this mission by helping our clients build and execute strategies that are tailored to the business drivers, risks, and threats relevant to life sciences companies. They identify and evaluate security gaps, then implement solutions to increase resiliency. They stay on top of critical cybersecurity technical skills through continuous research of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, capabilities, and mitigation techniques, and apply what they know and learn through an industry lens. They anticipate security requirements, analyze the client security posture, and formulate solutions based on industry-leading practices.

As a Senior Manager, you will lead and manage complex information security engagements. You will provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise, and drive project delivery execution as the primary point of contact for the project team – often interfacing with client security stakeholders, client business and/or IT stakeholders, Accenture domain experts, and other third party teams as needed. You will guide and direct team members on your projects, from one to many, across our Analyst, Senior Analyst and Consultant levels. You will be the ultimate problem solver, leading from the front, ensuring we are partnering with our clients as we shape and deliver on committed outcomes. You’ll help our clients protect their research, development, medical device technology, clinical trials, manufacturing, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

As a life science Senior Manager, you will be on point for growing our business by:

Working with clients and stakeholders to develop originate and capture new business opportunities

Staying abreast of industry trends, direction, changes in priorities or elements influencing decision-making in the space

Working with project teams to better understand client gaps and needs

Partnering with additional Accenture Industry teams to define and develop new/differentiated go-to-market solutions for our clients

Developing trusted client relationships to facilitate Accenture Security as a leader in the Cybersecurity space

Driving thought leadership that is relevant to Life Sciences:

Applying critical thinking skills to understanding how the latest security trends apply to our clients and publishing articles on how we can meet those challenges

Analyzing client’s security posture to create current state assessments, gap analyses, and strategic implementation roadmaps

Continuous understanding of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, capabilities, and mitigation techniques

Being an experienced practitioner in the Security space, you should be:

Comfortable communicating Security concepts with audiences at the director, senior director, and C-suite levels

Managing and leading largescale complex cybersecurity engagements with resources distributed globally

Commitment to growing our A, SA, and Con level team members by providing relevant Security expertise and resources. (Coaching and developing teams of cybersecurity consultants, and analyst.)

Understanding of how Security engagements work front to back – from scoping and financials to delivery and follow-on work. (Managing the engagement lifecycle – including engagement shaping, scoping, budgets, timelines, risks, issues and client expectations)

Leading delivery of Accenture’s Security offerings related to cybersecurity with a focus on cybersecurity strategy definition, security program planning, security operating model design and implementation, cyber risk assessments, and implementation of programs and solutions

Performing requirements analysis and developing strategies and solutions for cybersecurity, risk, and information governance

Working directly with clients and Accenture teams to design and implement program strategies for cybersecurity capabilities, such as data protection, insider risk, vulnerability management, security operations, security analytics, application security, cloud security, OT security, and digital identity

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of cyber security experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, implementing, and managing solutions across various cybersecurity domains (e.g. threat intelligence, vulnerability management, data protection, cloud security, OT security)

Minimum of 3 years of experience of cybersecurity solutions with leading vendors for their respective technologies

Minimum of 3 years of experience working with clients in the life sciences industry

As our clients’ return to work plans continue to progress, we anticipate that this role will require 25 – 60% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field

Previous consulting experience

Eagerness to contribute in a team orientated environment

Ability to lead a team with minimal direction

Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Desire to work in an information security environment

Desire to help contribute and grow the practice

Desire to mentor and educate others

Excellent communication written and oral, and interpersonal skills

Comfortable with C-Level interaction

Experience within one of the following cybersecurity domains is a bonus:

OT security, especially focused on (connected) labs and manufacturing environments

Medical device and equipment security

Cloud security
