LinQuest is seeking a Defensive Cybersecurity Range Engineer to join our team at Buckley AFB in Aurora, CO. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

The Defensive Cybersecurity Range Engineer will support Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) activities for United States Space Force Space Operations Command assigned Space Mission Ground Segment Systems and emerging mission systems. Tasks include providing the buildout, system administration, and technical upkeep of the training range.

Responsibilities:

  • Design the training range, configure the hardware and software environment, advise on needed interconnections/network connectivity between the classroom/training range, and perform a software/hardware inventory.
  • Perform training range system administration including maintaining computer systems, user accounts, and configuration control.
  • Recommend and implement training range upgrades.
  • Prevent unscheduled downtime.

Required Experience:

  • DOD 8570.01-Manual Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III
  • 2 years of cyber security experience with emphasis on range development and 2 years of experience with SIEM/IDS/IPS (Elastic Stack, Splunk, HBSS, or equivalent).
  • Strong background /familiarity with Windows and Linux command line, networking, traffic analysis and MITRE ATT&CK matrix Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) required.
  • Strong background in virtualization software and enumeration. Experience with VMware VSphere, VMware ESXI, or similar products required.
  • Background in server configuration
  • An active TS/SCI clearance


Preferred Experience:

  • Space/ground systems and an understanding of cyber challenges in space mission systems.
  • Administration, deployment, configuration, and installation of machine-learning tools, space cyber detection tools, and integration of open-source intel data/feeds.


Compensation:

  • Starting salary ranges from $95,000 to $112,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
