You are:

You possess a proven track record for scaling complex operations while focusing on the customer experience and controlling costs. You have led operations through rapid growth and delivered significant and meaningful results.

You will:

  • Make recommendations on process and/or procedure improvements needed, driving profitable growth in the Commerce services business unit. 
  • Define, deploy and lead the strategy for the integrated domestic transportation team with a focus on flawless execution, growth and cost controls.
  • Lead and develop a team of transportation managers.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to deliver meaningful results that align with the overall transportation strategy.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to insource transportation lanes, using data and analytics to support cost savings and service improvement and opportunities through in-sourcing to the PB Fleet.
  • Monitor expenses by reviewing financial data with period comparison dashboards. Analyze trends and expense drivers like: fuel, accessorial, zones and weight classes.
  • Create a safety-first culture by ensuring DOT compliance, on-going driver training and by partnering with operational leadership within our facilities.
  • Get line-of-sight into your carrier services by reviewing on-time performance metrics, spend trends, cost per package averages and air/ground utilization details. Manage vendor compliance to reduce fraud.
  • Review monthly Metrics Scorecard with VP/GM  (Set goals for cost savings).


Your background:


As a Vice President, Fleet Operations, you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in the transportation industry, with at least some experience in truckload, LTL, parcels and courier.
  • 5-7 years in Supply Chain Management, Pricing or routing- optimization.
  • Audit experience with ability to document all findings in a concise and comprehensive manner.
  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Excellent organization skills, proven written and verbal communication skills.
