POSITION SUMMARY:

Under supervision of the Materiel Expeditor, Lead .This position performs routine day-to-day computer-related operations and tasks in support of multi-class supply support activity mission at the assigned location. Responsibilities of the position include limited, technical supply management functions such as standardized duties in the work of inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization for a depot or other supply activity. Work is usually segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of scope, difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.


Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Limited, technical supply management functions such as standardized duties in the work of inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization for a depot or other supply activity.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Associated degree. Must provide a copy of diploma or college transcript.
  • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a host nation Driver’s License, is required.

Experience:

  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in the area of logistical supply.

Skills:

  • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
  • An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

Education:

  • Associates degree. Must provide a copy of the diploma or college transcript.
