Honeywell’s ACST team is looking for a highly qualified Systems Facility Engineer who will lead the team delivering infrastructure wide solutions for complex mechanical / optical / electrical / software / environmental / and control systems. The ideal candidate will have a working understanding of industrial plant design, construction, and maintenance.  This will include specialized high precision extreme environments and gas processing sub-systems.  Additionally, experience with industrial and safety control system design, programming, and monitoring is required.

In this role, you will manage and assist partners, sub-contractors, internal Honeywell, and program stakeholders in developing and upgrading both new and existing facilities. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage facility and plant level requirements from elicitation, definition/capture, decomposition, allocation, prioritization, tracking, traceability, and derived identification
  • Utilize system and facility modeling tools and techniques
  • Analyze and study complex facility requirements, and resolve conflicting project and customer requirements
  • Must be able to span multiple domains, such as safety, security, mechanical, HVAC, chilled water, power, vibration, cryogenic, EMI, radiation, etc.
  • Develop documentation required for proposals, planning, safety, security, operations, training, and maintenance
  • Drive project development, performance, construction, start-up, and commission
  • Work as part of the program leadership team to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
  • Work independently with government, public, and private authorities for approvals and inspections
  • Coordinate with purchasing and contracts on equipment, material, and construction procurement
  • Contribute to project presentations; Communicate facility level solutions and challenges
  • Lead a team that manages facility systems and sub-systems at multiple sites
  • Anticipate, record, and resolve day-to-day and project issues
  • Travel is required

 YOU MUST HAVE

  • U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with mechanical systems focus
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with plant and/or industrial facility design, construction, operations, and maintenance

  • Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or facility related field
  • Proficiency with CAD
  • Proficient with CONOPS development
  • Proficient in government Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) specifications
  • Demonstrated experience with gas liquefaction processing equipment including compressors, heat exchangers, vacuum pumps, piping, valves, sensors, and storage tanks
  • Demonstrated experience with plant level back up power sub-system designs and architectures
  • Demonstrated experience with high precision temperature and humidity-controlled environments
  • Ability to capture and analyze environmental data that defines background facility baselines
  • Ability to build clear and concise statements of work for construction quotes
  • Self-motivation, strong interpersonal and technical skills, and be good at working with customers, partners, contractors, and colleagues; Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills

Incentive Eligible
Salary Range:$107,000.00 - $134,000.00
