Join the Softco team in Honeywell International Sarl to lead and drive business  growth from core products: Enterprise Buildings Integrator; Digital Video Manager and Command and Control Suite.  

You will have overall leadership responsibility for this portfolio to drive growth, deliver robust products on time and within budget, commercialize these products through the SoftCo model with appropriate pricing and selling strategies, manage the P&L of this portfolio for growth and profitability and ensure compliance with all legal and tax regulations.

In particular, you will lead the Z21 product development strategies for the Connected Operations Portfolio developing execution and launch plans to drive product success, by “Thinking Big” and most importantly “Making It Happen”. Your leadership will be critical in the development of new offerings that align with both the HBT Business Strategy as well as delivering the results against SoftCo’s Annual Operating Plans. The role is responsible to manage strategic and tactical go to market projects and is accountable for maximum return on investment. This role will report to the SoftCo Leader and will matrix to the HCE Connected Buildings Offering Leader

Your effective communication, market sizing, segmentation and analytical skills will help guide the business to prioritizing new product development and launches, leading to faster growth for the business.

This role is based in Rolle, Switzerland. Relocation package may be considered.

Responsibilities included but are not limited to: 

Product Development

·       Lead development of EBI, DVM and CCS related Z21 programs and portfolio of solutions to successfully deliver the financial results required by the business

·       Definition of product requirements for grooming and PI planning

·       Development of product positioning that corresponds to customer needs

·       Close collaboration with product engineering teams to ensure delivery of software to meet requirements and customer expectations

·       Management of the go-to-market channels – primarily by building strong relationship with the HBT projects and HBT Services business

·       Manage associated products in the portfolio such as SymmetrE for the BMS partners and Connected Operations products for the HPS channel

·       Management of the full product lifecycle including delivery of final product from Switzerland to end users

·       Co-creation of marketing plans with HBT and HCE

·       Co-creation of sales enablement content with HBT and HCE

·       Incorporation of voice-of-the-customer

·       Participation in existing and potential customer meetings to understand their needs and describe our solutions

·       Conducting market research

·       Development of pricing strategy

·       Lead and grow a team of product management and/or product marketing professionals


Product Commercialization

·       Evolve product pricing strategies with a focus on moving more software revenue to recurring revenue models

·       Implement the software commercialization journey from obtaining software pricing through to order placement, licensing of customer entitlements; software renewals and upsell opportunities.

·       Implement the product commercialization strategies into business systems and better pricing tools

·       Provide reporting and analysis of product business performance

·       Ensure compliance with legal requirements for the investment and selling of software for the jurisdiction in which the software is being commercialized

·       Oversee tax strategies to ensure optimal return on investment



·       Manage the overall SoftCo P&L for the Connected Operations portfolio to ensure the successful delivery of the Annual Operating Plan.


You must have…

·       Bachelors Degree; Business, Marketing or Engineering

·       15 years of combined experience in business to business sales, marketing or engineering

·       Demonstrated experience in taking large complex software programs through development and launch and achieve its stated goals.

·       Experience working within the Software Development Centers is essential component of this role.

·       Fluent in English, written and verbal

·       Existing experience in developing real-time critical control software products

·       Experience having worked across intentional time zones for over 5 years, and having worked in numerous countries.
