The CBRE HSE Emergency Response Manager position is part of the overall EHS Operations Team providing detailed disaster response and emergency preparedness development and management.  This position ensures the overall emergency response and  disaster response readiness of all c lient locations across the Bay Area.  

Responsibilities:

The ER Preparedness Manager is at a minimum responsible for the following:

  • Organizing client's emergency response and disaster response operations throughout the Bay Area
  • Develops and implements emergency response training programs and disaster response drills for all emergency response groups
  • Ensuring a high level of operational readiness for all client emergency response groups
  • Implements the emergency action plan during emergencies
  • Collaborates with client EHS Emergency Response, Operations and Regional Safety Managers on global emergency response preparedness, procedures and protocols
  • Ensuring all disaster response supplies are readily available for immediate use.
  • Actively recruits personnel for emergency response teams
    • Earthquake response groups (ERG)
    • Building evacuation teams (BET)
    • REWS medical emergency response teams (MERT)
  • Provides training and emergency response consultation to other client groups
  • Collaborates with senior management to ensure client's disaster response readiness
  • Updates all emergency response and disaster response plans as applicable to EHS
  • Oversees the development and effectiveness of the BET program
  • Designs, developments and implements Bay Area emergency management programs for client Corp locations.
  • Any additional duties delegated by the EHS Operations manager

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in emergency management.
  • Minimum of 10 years conducting emergency response training.
  • Minimum of 10 years developing emergency response programs and training curricula
  • Certifications in areas of emergency management.
  • Certifications in instructor training.
  • Certification in ICS 100b, 200b and 700

Education Requirement:

Bachelor degree in EHS Emergency Management or related field.  Will consider work experience in lieu of educational requirements
