Senior Consultant – Healthcare – Payer
Infosys Consulting is looking for talented and highly motivated consultants to join our Health and Life Sciences consulting practice. As a Senior Consultant, you will work on strategic programs in the Healthcare industry helping clients in managed care, fee for service, and/or government health plans such as Medicare and Medicaid to develop strategic business capabilities while further deepening your knowledge in this area.

  • Lead program workstreams and/or projects, responsible for schedules, deliverables, quality, client buy-in and reporting leading to successful program delivery
  • Engage with key stakeholders for execution of day-to-day interactions with client teams
  • Conduct interviews/workshops/walkthroughs with subject matter experts and process owners to gather information for analysis, recommendations, requirements and for preparation of project deliverables
  • Participate in solution development that enable adoption of digital capabilities for Healthcare organizations. Publish white papers/view points in leading industry journals; participate in industry events.
  • Participate in practice development activities; participate in consultant training processes.
  • Ability to travel 4 days a week to multiple client locations


Demonstrates proven abilities and success in roles in one or more of the following areas:
  • Strong understanding of the payer market (managed care and/or fee-for-service) by way of working with commercial health plans or government-sponsored health plans across the respective value chains and processes
  • Specialized knowledge and work experience in one or more of the following: member eligibility and enrollment, provider data management and networks, claims and encounter processing, care, disease or demand management, value based payment strategies, regulatory and compliance, product development, sales and quoting, reporting and analytics
  • Hands-on experience working with one or more of the following: CRM, ERP, digital growth strategies, mobile apps, analytics, social listening platforms.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in Healthcare industry working for a consulting services organization and/or industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Healthcare administration/management, or related field

  • Experience translating business objectives to system requirements
  • Experience leading strategic and tactical discussions with Sr. Director and Director level
  • Industry experience working directly at a managed care, fee for service, and/or government health plan organizations is a plus
  • Master’s degree or MBA is strongly preferred
  • Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, PMP, and/or Agile preferred
