You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Echo Vascular Technologist like you to be a part of our team.
 

As an Echo Vascular Technologist, you are responsible for performing ultrasonic imaging and related procedures. You will perform procedures according to physician’s orders or per prescription on outpatients.

  • You will provide scans of optimal quality on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric
  • You will be responsible for indirect patient care, diagnostic tests which include Adult Echocardiogram, TEE’s and Pharmacologic/Exercise Cardiac Stress Testing.
  • You will demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
  • You will follow established scanning and filming protocols
  • You will operate the Ultrasound units efficiently and effectively
  • You will document on PACS or in writing, information seen during exam
  • You will complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organize and prioritize workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands
  • You will relay to Cardiologist any relevant patient information
  • You will assists physicians performing invasive exams
  • You will perform procedures in OR

Experience

  • One year echocardiography - preferred

Education

  • Associates degree from approved ultrasound technology education program
  • Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of cardiac ultrasound

Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR  Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

  • BLS Certification as per St. David?╟╓s Healthcare policy
